"What a Catch, Donnie" is Fall Out Boy's third single from their fifth studio album Folie à Deux. It was released on October 14, 2008 as an iTunes exclusive single.
It features numerous musicians performing cameo appearances in the song, singing lines from other Fall Out Boy songs. According to the NME interview with Pete Wentz, "Track by Track", Pete says this song is the only ballad Fall Out Boy has written so far, and that it "kind of was written to remind me of Patrick, more than anything". Patrick Stump, lead singer/songwriter, in an interview with AbsolutePunk.net, also talked about "What a Catch, Donnie". He said it's "probably one of the most effective songs to me... I was writing off Pete's lyrics, but it's as if I was confessing through them. That's probably my favorite song...".
